Indiana Popsters Margot & the Nuclear So and So’s @GrogShop

Sun 4/27 @ 8:30PM

There’s no Margot in Margot & the Nuclear So and So’s, whose refined folk-pop belies that fact that the music is made by eight people.

It’s far from overbearing, though it is lush and even a little noisy in spots. It revolves around the tremulous vocals of singer/songwriter Richard Edwards and surrounds his voice with a sympathetic platform to convey the yearning, wistful emotions of the songs’ lyrics.

Based in Indianapolis and Chicago, the group’s just released its sixth album Sling Shot to Heaven and headed out on the road. They’ll be at the Grog Shop, with Indianapolis singer/songwriter Kate Myers opening.

Tickets are $13
