Thu 5/15 @ 8PM
Larchmere PorchFest has, in its short life, become a special event here in Cleveland. Modeled on a neighborhood festival in Ithaca, New York, it features musicians and bands playing on porches on the side streets off Larchmere Boulevard, as well as on balconies, on restaurant patios, and in courtyards. This year the event takes place Saturday June 21.
To draw attention to the festival and raise a little money to produce the event — which is free — the organizers are hosting a couple of fundraising events.
On Wed 4/16, rockabilly band Scoliosis Jones will be playing at the academy Tavern on Larchmere. And on Thu 5/15 introspective but rocking singer/songwriter/guitarist/ keyboardist Morgan Mecaskey will be playing u the street at Felice Urban Café.
Admission each night is $20, which includes one drink ticket and appetizers. The profits will benefit Larchmere PorchFest, a nonprofit organization.
