The Cleveland Classical Guitar Society seems hellbent on turning Cleveland into a classical guitar mecca.
The organization presents a yearlong series of concerts and co-sponsors Cleveland International Classical Guitar Festival, taking place this week.
And now, if you won’t come to them, it will bring the music to you. It’s paired up with the PlayhouseSquare District Development Corporation to offer a series of free concerts this summer at the U.S. Bank Plaza at E. 14th and Euclid.
Taking place on Mondays at 6pm, the series will feature students and professional performers, local and out-of-town artists.
It kicks off this week with Cleveland Institute of Music guitar student Phil Goldenberg from New Jersey.
It’s free.
