Two of the areas repeatedly touted as key to northeast Ohio’s economic future are healthcare and the arts. Those two things seem very disparate, but there are connections between the two sectors.
Cleveland’s arts advocacy group CPAC — The Community Partnership for Arts and Culture — released a study recently called Creative Minds in Healthcare: A Cleveland Creative Intersection. It talked about the areas of intersection in which the two sectors can enrich and strengthen each other.
You can learn more about this at a panel at the City Club of Cleveland. It will feature three elected officials talking about how the arts can be deployed to address public health issues. Speakers include Cleveland city councilman Joe Cimperman (pictured), state representative from Lakewood Nickie Antonio, and Cuyahoga county councilman David Greenspan.
Tickets are $18 for City Club members, $30 for non-members, which includes lunch. Reserve tickets at least 24 hours ahead of time at the City Club website.
