Cleveland’s BlueWater Chamber Orchestra offers up a little something new at its next concert at Plymouth Church in Shaker Heights.
It will feature a piece by the winner of Baldwin-Wallace University’s 2013 Iron Composer Competition, Jakub Polaczyk.
It’ll take its place between two tone poems by British composer Frederick Delius to set the mood for the nice weather we hope is coming On Hearing the First Cuckoo in Spring” and “Summer Night on the River,” and Beethoven’s Violin Concerto, starring BlueWater concertmaster and “Iron Violinist” (presumably not a reference to the makeup of his violin) Kenneth Johnston (pictured).
