The Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority’s Transit Tracks concert series continues with one of the treasures of the local music scene: blues harmonica player Wallace Coleman. Like many southern blacks, he migrated north in the mid ’50s, settling in Cleveland. Unsurprisingly, he hooked up with the late Robert Lockwood Jr., joining his band fulltime following his retirement from Hough Bakeries. He played with Lockwood through 1997 when he left to front his own group.
The Wallace Coleman Band will perform at the Tower City Rapid station. It’s free.
