Reggae fans always look forward to the Urban Luau at Akron’s Musica, a sure sign that summer is in full swing.
And of course, there’s no music more perfectly coupled to warm weather than reggae. So this luau will feature two of northeast Ohio’s favorite roots reggae bands: Carlos Jones & the P.L.U.S. Band, fronted by the sunny, charismatic Jones, a 35-year veteran of the local reggae scene, and Umojah Nation (pictured), which features three-woman vocal harmonies. Summery food and drinks are available to enjoy between sessions on the dance floor.
Tickets are $10.
