Saturday’s the big day at Tri-C JazzFest, as the PlayhouseSquare theater will be shaking with sounds from 1:30 pm until midnight, with more music happening from 3pm until midnight on the U.S. Bank Plaza ourside.

Northeast Ohio-based percussionist Jamey Haddad, whose musical horizon and collection of instruments take in the entire world, gets the day started at the Hanna Theatre at 1:30pm. He’s put together a group for JazzFest he’s dubbed Under One Sun, which includes musicians from Palestine, Venezuela, Canada and the U.S. Tickets are $25.

At 2:45pm, another veteran Cleveland musician with a penchant for exploring diverse musical territory, tenor sax player Ernie Krivda, commands the Ohio Theatre stage with his Fat Tuesday Band featuring special guest keyboard player David Thomas. The performance, “A Big Band, A B-3 and the Blues,” will focus on the music of Hammond B-3 organist Jimmy Smith. Tickets are $20 and $25.

Brazilian pianist/vocalist Eliane Elias performs at the Hanna at 4pm. Tickets are $22.50 and $30.

Drummer Terry Lyne Carrington’s Money Jungle with Aaron Parks, Antonio Hart and Zack Brown is at the Ohio at 5:15. Tickets are $22.50 and $30.

Bassist Christian McBride’s Trio plays at the Ohio at 6:45. Tickets are $22.50 and $30.

Soul singer/songwriter guitarist Raul Midon (pictured) is featured at the Hanna at 7:30pm. Tickets are $22.50 and $30.

Marcus Miller, Dave Koz and friends will bring the “smooth jazz” for those who like that sort of thing. That’s at the Palace at 8pm. Tickets are $35-$65.

British bassist/composer Dave Holland’s Prism closes the fest at the Ohio at 10pm at the Ohio. Tickets are $30.

And once again, there’ll be free music on the U.S Bank Plaza from 3 pm until midnight, with Wesley Bright & the Hi-Lites ending things on a lively, sweaty note. There will be a dance floor.
