It’s been a tradition for more than four decades: the summer season at Blossom Music Center opens with a bang (that would be fireworks, weather permitting) as the Blossom Festival Band celebrates Independence Day with its “Salute to America.”
Loras John Schissel will conduct the band as they play …. Well, you know. No surprises here. Sousa. Gershwin. Patriotic anthems. And there would be mutiny if the concert DIDN’T conclude with Tchaikovsky’s 1812 Overture as those fireworks are going off.
Tickets are $30-$45.
