Burt Bacharach Tunes On Tap @CuyahogaLib Beachwood Branch

Sun 6/15 @ 2PM

If you don’t feel like sitting around the house on a Sunday afternoon and feel like hearing some classic pop tunes performed by some of Cleveland’s most gifted musicians, head on over to the Beachwood branch of the Cuyahoga County Library.

There, vocalist Tara Hawley will join pianist Matt Skitzki’s trio for The Look of Love: The Music of Burt Bacharach. You know the tunes:  “Walk on By,” “Raindrops Keep Falling On My Head,” “Do You Know the Way to San Jose,” and of course “The Look of Love,” many of them made famous by Dionne Warwick in the ’60s. Hawley’s seductive voice has some of the offhand ease of Warwick’s so she should be an able interpreter of this material. And Skitzki’s well known around town for playing everything from the Great American Songbook to his own original jazz compositions.

The 90-minute concert is free. Reservations are appreciated but not required, and seating is first-come, first-serve. Go here or call 216-831-6868.
