The Speakeasy, tucked away in the basement of Bier Markt, is a cozy place to sip on an interesting cocktail and listen to some music, worlds away from a noisy brew pub overflowing with bros. The bros wouldn’t like the music the Speakeasy books anyway — some of the area’s coolest indie rock artists every Thursday.
This week Dave Taha from Filmstrip will perform solo, along with post-punk rockers Village Bicycle and a relatively new band on the local scene called Nowhere.
Doors open at 8, music is at 9. The series is free.
