Cleveland’s Contrapunctus Sings 10 Centuries of Sacred Music

Fri 6/6 @ 7:30PM

Cleveland vocal ensemble Contrapunctus heads way back into the past for its next program Angel Voices Ever Singing, which takes place at the Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist downtown.

The group will take listeners on a grand tour of sacred vocal music, going back to the 12th century with the music of Hildegarde of Bingen and progressing to the present day with a new work written by Kevin Foster, who sings tenor with the group. The program will also feature music from the York Mystery Plays of the 15th century, early-20th-century composer Gustav Holst, and contemporary composer Mark Blatchly.

The concert is free; a free-will donation will be collected.
