The Cleveland Metroparks’ Edgewater Live series at Edgewater Park continues its respite from cover bands with local indie rockers Filmstrip.
The trio, which includes brothers Dave (guitar) and Matt (bass) Taha and drummer Nick Riley, have known each other since grade school and have been playing together since junior high. But they formed Filmstrip five years ago, and released their first full-length salvo Everything Can Change in 2010, followed by Moments of Matter in 2012. They’re something of shapeshifters, at times sounding stark and rootsy, at others raw and aggressive. Rest assured they won’t be doing disco tunes or ’80s top 40 covers.
As every week, there will be yoga on the beach, crafts, nature explorations, paddleboarding and food trucks. This week’s trucks include Betty’s Bomb Ass Burgers, CLEWoknRoll, Donut Lab, Touch Supper Truck, and Pig Licking Good BBQ
