The Akron Civic Theatre’s busy cabaret schedule of local artists has slowed down a bit in the summer, but it hasn’t stopped
Next up is the Angie Haze Project, which recently celebrated the release of their debut CD Heat to Cold at Jilly’s, also in downtown Akron. Singer/guitarist/keyboard player/songwriter Haze is known for both her flamboyant performances and her hypnotic, eclectic music, which draws on influences from a kaleidiscope of genres and from all over the world. She’s described the music of the trio, which also includes Hoseff Garcia bassist and percussionist Tim Ellinger, as “gypsy/folk/cabaret.”
Acid jazz ensemble the Acid Cats open the show, which takes place in the Akron Civic Theatre stage in an intimate, limited-seating set-up.
Tickets are $15 or two for $25.
