Hear 30 Local Bands for Free @LarchmerePorch Fest

Sun 6/21 @ 1-10PMPM

Now in its sixth year, the Larchmere Porchfest has been a huge success, growing every year.

It’s based on a singularly enjoyable concept. Neighbors on the side streets that fan out from Larchmere Boulevard offer their porches as stages and lawns as seating areas. Thirty bands will play on 30 porches throughout the day, with multiple bands playing at any given time. Grab a map, stroll around — or ride your bicycle — and see what catches your ear.

It’s not just the acoustic singer-songwriters you’d expect to hear on a porch. You’ll stumble across roots rock, bluegrass, jazz, reggae, funk, blues, cabaret, hip hop, country, classical, and even klezmer. Favorites like the rockabilly trio Scoliosis Jones, funk rockers We The People, and experimental instrumental ensemble Trepanning Trio (pictured at last year’s Porchfest) will be back from previous years. But there will also be plenty of bands new to the event.

It’s a chance to catch some of Cleveland’s buzz bands like These Knees, Filmstrip, and Obnox, along with veteran acts like Steev Inglish, the Vernon Jones Blues Cartel, and Jah Messengers on one easy-going afternoon and evening.

It’s all free too.
