Hodges’ Chris Hodgson Next @CBGarden’s Gourmets in the Garden

Wed 7/2 @ 6PM

On Wednesdays through the end of August, the Cleveland Botanical Garden is open until 9 for its Garden Summer Wednesdays.

One of the highlights of that evening is its popular Gourmets in the Garden series where you can get up close and personal with some of the top chefs in Cleveland, who’ll demonstrate their favorite dishes and share samples with guests.

On Wed 7/2 Chris Hodgson of Hodge’s downtown will be doing the honors on Geis Terrace. Hodgson first impacted the local food scene with his food truck Dim and Den Sum four years ago — the truck that launched Cleveland’s burgeoning food truck craze. His second truck, the Hodgepodge Truck, was runner-up on the Food Network’s The Great Food Truck Race.  In 2012, he took the wheels off and settled into his non-mobile location on Euclid Avenue.

Tickets are $6 for CBG members, $16 for non-members. Call 216.721.1600, ext. 100 to reserve, a good idea since these events often sell out.

Upcoming weeks will feature chefs like Ben Bebenroth of Spice Kitcehn + Bar, Doug Katz of fire food and drink and Katz Club Diner, Ali Barker of the Chagrin Balley Country Club, Randy Carter of Jack Flaps, and Britt-Marie Culey of the new Coquette Patisserie in University Circle.
