Music in the Meadow @ConservancyCVNP Opens With the Womacks

Wed 6/11 @ 6:30PM

Yet another summer concert series gets its start today, along with the popular Wade Oval Wednesdays.

The Conservancy for Cuyahoga Valley National Park’s Music in the Meadow biweekly series at Howe Meadow opens with the Norwalk quartet the Womacks (formerly the Womack Family Band).

The group’s specialty is their rootsy, melodic pop songwriting, which all band members contribute to, incorporating diverse influences, and highlighted by their strong vocal harmonies, showcased on the three albums they’ve released to date.  They have an EP on the way, to be released next month.

The concert starts at 6:30, but you can arrive at 5:30 with your blanket and picnic dinner. There’ll be family-style activities to keep the kids occupied.

It’s free. If the weather’s terrible, the concert is cancelled. Call 330-650-4636 x228 after 2 pm the day of the show to find out.
