Singer/songwriter Allen Cruz arrived in northeast Ohio from Chicago and, after releasing a solo acoustic EP, enlisted other area musicians to become a quartet dubbed Allen Cruz and the Galaxy.
They’ve now completed a seven-track full-band EP titled Talk to the Moon featuring their upbeat, tuneful pop rock with a bit of a jazzy vibe that credits Weezer, Bruno Mars, and Fall Out Boy as influences. Cruz’s voice is light, supple, and appealingly unaffected.
They’ll be marking its release with a show at Musica. Yankee Bravo, Andrew in Vienna, and Goodboogie Inc open.
