The Zygote Press crew is moving ahead with its second location, dubbed Ink House, at the corner of Waterloo Road and East 156th Street (it’s the first house on the left as you’re heading south to the freeway). They’re been doing inside demolition, ripping out partitions and cleaning out trash.
Sometime this summer, Ink House will open as a hub for those who want to learn how to design and create their own artistic posters and flyers, which should appeal to bands playing the nearby Beachland Ballroom.
Right now though, it’s having a benefit to pay some of its construction costs. That’ll take place at the Beachland Tavern, where folk rockers Oldboy will play. Come learn more about this new art spot on Waterloo and help support it.
Tickets are $20.
