Nonprofit Neuter/Spay Clinic PetFix Hosts “Sips for Snips” Benefit

Sun 6/22 @ 2-5PM

Kittens and puppies are the most adorable creatures on earth.

The only downside is there are too many of them and, alas, not enough homes for them all. That’s where groups like PetFix Northeast Ohio come in, providing affordable spay/neuter services to shelters, rescue organizations, feral cat caretakers, and low-income pet owners. It’s been operating its mobile clinic since 2006 and last year, it opened a permanent location at 885 E. 222nd Street in Euclid.

Making the surgery affordable costs money, of course. That’s why the nonprofit group is hosting Sips for Snips at Sun Valley Banquet & Party Center in Chagrin Falls.

There’ll be music by Santana tribute band Evil Ways, heavy appetizers, and wine and beer tastings. And yes, you can bring your dog as long as he’s socialized and on a leash (your cat informed me he wants to stay home and sleep). In fact, there will be special activities for him including swimming, an agility course, doggie massages, and a professional trainer to teach him new tricks. Your cat says “Whatever. Yawn.”

Tickets are $40 in advance. Buy them online or send a check (indicate number of dogs as well as people attending) to PetFix Northeast Ohio, Inc., 885 East 222nd Street, Euclid, OH 44123.
