On The Edge Event Welcomes Clevelanders to Edgewater Park

Sat 6/14 @ 3-9PM

The Cleveland Metroparks has taken over the city’s lakefront parks, and it’s making a big splash, putting out the welcome mat for people who never thought much about Cleveland’s beaches.

The city’s biggest beach is Edgewater, which has gotten mixed reviews from citizens over the years. The Metroparks is letting people know it’s a new era there with its On the Edge lakefront party.

This event features live music, food trucks, and hands-on family nature-oriented activities including arts & crafts. Noted sand sculptor Carl Jara will be creating a huge sand masterpiece on the spot, which kids can then mimic.

The Foluke Drum Circle kicks things off at 3pm, followed by pop-rockers Pout at 4pm, alt-country band Lost State of Franklin (pictured) at 6 pm, and reggae ensemble Umojah Nation at 7:45, who’ll provide the soundtrack for sunset.

It all takes place at Lower Edgewater Park, and it’s all free.
