Of the multitude of free summer local music concert series, Lake View Cemetery’s has one of the most unusual and strikingly beautiful settings.
The biweekly series, which kicks off with percussionist Sammy DeLeon’s Latin Jazz ensemble, features four concerts by some of the area’s best musicians in a variety of genres.
Blue Lunch will perform their swing/jump blues/early rock and roll on Sun 6/29. Long Road plays classic ’60s folk-revival folk music on Sun 7/20. Rachel Brown & the Beatnik Playboys wrap the series on Sun 8/3 with their smoky, jazzy countrified Americana.
The rain date for each show is the following Sunday, except for the Blue Lunch concert, whose rain date is 7/13.
