Ten Lives, A Feral Cat Odyssey Screens at Cleveland VegFest

Sat 6/7 @ 10AM

According to Megan Johnson, president of the Cleveland Vegan Society, which is hosting its second annual VegFest, vegans tend to be active in the feral cat control and care movement. “They’re aware of the impact on animals of all our actions,” she says.

So it isn’t as out of place as it might seem that VegFest will be featuring a screening of a new documentary called Ten Lives, A Feral Cat Odyssey. In it the filmmakers explain what feral cats are and how they got that way and shows what some animal-lovers are doing to care for them and control the population via trap, neuter, return programs.

Edita Birnkrant, campaign director for Friends of Animals, one of the groups supporting the film, will answer questions after the film.

The hour-long film screens in room 134 of Cleveland State’s Main Classroom Building. Like all VegFest programs, it’s free.
