One of the gripes you hear about Cleveland’s wonderful, unduplicated West Side Market is that it keeps funny hours. People have come to expect to be able to shop for groceries whenever the mood strikes them, and the market is only open Mondays, Wednesday, Fridays and Saturdays.
But it can be flexible. This year July 4th falls on a Friday, so the market won’t be open then. Instead, it’s accommodating those who want to shop last minute for their holiday weekend picnics, barbecues, and campouts by keeping Thursday hours instead from 7AM-4PM.
