The Midwest Reggae Fest doesn’t happen until next month — August 1-3, to be exact.
But if you want to get in the mood now, the Midwest Reggae Fest Pre-Party BBQ is taking place at the Beachland Ballroom tonight. The music will be provided by Charleston Okafor, a local reggae musician who hosts the African Abstract program on WCSB 89.3 FM. It wouldn’t be too surprising if he spun much by acts like the Meditations, Morgan Heritage, SOJA, Wailing Souls, and others who will be playing in a few weeks at the event at Clay’s Park in North Lawrence, Ohio.
The Beachland pre-party is free.
