Akron musician/instigator Ryan Humbert loves to put together “special event” shows, drawing on the talents of his many musician friends.
Earlier this year, he put together a show called “Tangled Up in Dylan,” pretty much self-explanatory, which took place at the Akron Civic Theatre.
That show sold out, so he’s restaging it at the Gervasi Vineyard & Italian Bistro in Canton. He’ll be joined by his full six-member band for a musical tour through Bob Dylan’s career from his folkie days to his electric rocking side. In addition to “hits” like “Knockin’ on Heaven’s Door,” “Mt. Tambourine Man,” and “Blowin’ the the Wind,” the set list includes some obscurities to please hardcore fans.
Doors and bar open at 7pm; the show is at 8pm. Dinner is available earlier in the Bistro. Make a reservation separately.
Tickets for the concert are $18.
