Are you one of those people who says, “I keep hearing about the West Side Market but I’ve never been there,” or “I haven’t been there since I was a kid.” Here’s motivation to go: on the last Saturday of each month, veteran market shoppers conduct a tour of the market, explaining all its little secrets, its history, its ins and out.
Meet your guide at the northeast produce arcade entrance by the big parking lot in back (and arrive early so you can find a parking space — Saturdays are busy!) Plan about an hour for the tour, and then leave yourself time to fill up that West Side Market shopping bag that’s included with your registration. In fact, take the whole morning and enjoy some people-watching as well at perhaps the most ethnically diverse spot in Cleveland.
