Mind boggling! If you love stories told through cinematic master pieces, then you have to see artist Yael Bartana’s Inferno currently being screened at The Maltz Museum for Jewish Heritage. The film, focused on the rebuilding of The Temple of Solomon in São Paulo Brazil, tells of trials, tribulations, culture and so much more. Inferno is visually stunning and leaves you full of questions.
CoolCleveland Correspondent Marty Bielat met up with The Maltz’s Executive Director, Ellen Rudolph, and spoke with her about the exhibit. Rudolph agreed that Inferno is moving, and suggested that viewers call a hotline, or attend a panel discussion after viewing it. The Maltz will be hosting three panel discussions on the film. Each panel will focus on themes such as: Identity (Wed 7/30,) Spectacle (Wed 8/13,) and Memory (Wed 9/10.)
Thank you Ellen for helping bring this insightful and thought provoking film to Cleveland. We love being moved through powerful experiences, and Inferno is certainly the film to do it. Make sure you bring a discussion buddy with you when you view it at The Maltz, which will be running up until Sun 10/19. See the “hottest” film in the city and head on over to The Maltz today.
