Experience Beethoven at Summers at Severance @CleveOrchestra

Fri 8/15 @ 7PM

The Cleveland Orchestra’s August in-town residency “Summers at Severance” continues with “The Beethoven Experience,” offering three works by one of classical music’s most crowd-pleasing composers.

The Orchestra will open with the overture to The Creatures of Prometheus, followed by Symphony No. 4. It will conclude with Beethoven’s Choral Fantasy for orchestra, chorus and piano.  The orchestra will be joined for that piece by the Blossom Festival Chorus and young pianist Orion Weiss. Weiss spent part of his youth in Lyndhurst and studied at the Cleveland Institute of Music as a teenager before getting his degree at Juilliard, and made his debut with the Cleveland Orchestra at the tender age of 18.

Former Cleveland Orchestra resident conductor Jahja Ling, who is in town to lead the Yo-Yo Ma concert at Blossom, also conducts this one.

Tickets are $23-$85.
