Starting at 5:30pm, the Indigo Girls headline a concert at Lock 3 Live that also features local favorite Anne E. DeChant and Hanna Thomas.
But don’t wait until then to get down there. The Flair Fest will be going on all day with an art show, food vendors, street performers, and lots of great local talent.
The gates open at 11, with Zach & the Bright Lights, featuring Akron’s bearer of peace and love, Zach Freidhof, taking the stage at 11:30. Then two stages will more or less alternate performers, including DeChant’s former bandmate in Odd Girl Out, Alexis Antes, Akron rocker Rachel Roberts, the Angie Haze Project, fronted by colorful gypsy-blues-jazz singer Haze, and even Verb Ballets.
The Flair Fest is free. Reserved seats for the Indigo Girls are sold out, but $10 general admission tickets will be available at the gate.
