The annual Euclid Beach Blast celebrates and raises awareness of this east side swimming beach and its adjoining park, now run by the Cleveland Metroparks. The rain cleared up just in the nick of time. Bands played, food vendors sold their wares, area organizations and governmental bodies hose work relates to the environment shared information, and of course, there were activities for kids who danced, drew chalk designs and helped to paint a rain barrel. Down on the beach there were sand castles and a giant sand dragon — and a beautiful sunset.
