Film Buffs Can Help Choose Short to Screen at this Year's CIFF at "Get Shorty" Party

Fri 2/13 @ 6PM

If you are a passionate film buff, you’ll probably want to be at the Cleveland International Film Fest’s GET SHORTY event at Playhouse Square’s Mimi Ohio Theatre. It’s not a reference to the 1995 film of that name, but rather to the screening of 90 minutes of new short films which guests will vote on, with the highest scorer assured a place on this year’s CIFF April 9-18.

The event starts at 6pm with snacks, a cash bar, a pop-up shop, and 10-year-old DJ Lily Jade spinning classic R&B and pop tunes. Then at 7pm, the screenings begin, and after each, the audience will vote via text on their phones. It’s a great chance to hang out with other film buffs and help influence what people will see during the festival in April.
