Be bold and let go
Embrace your passions and celebrate all the arts in our region this week. Graffiti wizard Bob Peck has evolved his street style and is letting loose a massive, one-night event at Graffiti HeArt’s rainbow colored space called Doowutchalike. There’s a plant party and terrarium workshop hosted by East Cleveland Alive and Ingenuity, which unleashed their big fundraiser last weekend, captured by CoolCleveland photographers in our BACKTALK section below.
There’s a parade at Geneva-On-The-Lake, outdoor vendors at Walkabout Tremont, an open house at Morgan Conservatory, a family friendly fundraiser at Beck Center, and the first monthly summer market at City Goods.
How about a cool show to celebrate Mother’s Day? Vanity Crash and I have lined up a dozen area women artists to honor their rock & roll predecessors from our region: Chrissie Hynde, The Waitresses, Ruby & The Romantics, Tracy Chapman and more. Our Day Will Come features two different nights of live music, interviews and tributes, and finally premieres this Fri 5/10 at Jilly’s Music Room in Akron and Sat 5/11 at the Beachland in Cleveland. For rock & roll mommas all around town.
