Cleveland’s Cellar Door Productions is becoming a major force on the Cleveland music scene, specifically in finding opportunities for local talent.
Justin and Allie Markert and their team have put together a series of summer shows at various venues around town, each with its own distinctive musical vibe.
They cosponsored the singles release/arts event with folk-rockers Bethesda at MOCA this week, which you can read more about here.
But that’s only the beginning.
They’ve pulled together three respected area singer- songwriters — Tom Evanchuck (pictured), Jason Patrick Meyers and Joey Beltram — for “Anatomy of a Song,” for one of the Coventry Village Tuesday night series on 7/1. That event is free.
A diverse bill that includes hip hop-influenced electronic musician Freeze-Tag, along with moody rockers the Sleeps and Sammy Slims will take place at the Beachland Tavern Sat 7/5. Admission is $5.
Cellar Door will have Mahall’s rocking on Sat 7/26 when they present the high-energy Ragers and punk rockers So Long, Albatross, plus two additional bands to be announced. Admission is $7.
The last show on their schedule (so far) will take place at the Grog Shop Sat 8/30, headlined by two bands who produce atmospheric, spacey music: Midnight Passenger and NOMADS. Ageless Males and New Shoes are also on the bill. Admission is $10.
