YES, YOU
Moving forward entails intentionality, like the “cooperative, communal, artist-run maker spaces that have quietly been transforming Cleveland,” according to CoolCleveland Culturati columnist Liz Maugans. And our local maker spaces are opening their doors for your gifting this week, right on cue. Holiday events predominate, from hot chocolate at a bookstore, to orchestral grandeur onstage, from sing-alongs that benefit the Food Bank to solstice yoga in the national park, from “The World’s Greatest Christmas Band” to a guitar god’s “One Silent Night.”
And how proud we are seeing BBC Music rank The Pretenders’ 2000 Miles as #4 and The Waitresses’ Christmas Wrapping as #2 best Christmas rock songs of all time! They are both heavily featured in our upcoming NEO Rewind Series, looking at the history of rock by women and punk in our region. First up, on Jan 9, 10 & 11 it’s David Bowie in NEO. Tickets make the best gifts, so step forward, and come on out.
