It’s time again for Bike Cleveland’s biggest sport and social event of the year, the 11th annual Bike Cleveland Fundo. It’s also the biggest annual fundraiser for the nonprofit which advocates for road infrastructure that’s safer for cyclists and pedestrians, not just cars,
With courses of three different lengths — 10, 30 and 60 miles — participants can choose an adventure suited to their own skill and stamina level, while taking in both urban and rural landscapes.
As usual, the rides all start and end at the Edgewater Park beach house. There are rest stops and support vehicles all along the routes, to provide water and snack and help with any bike issues, and on return to Edgewater Park, riders will find food trucks and concessions at the Beach House, and have the chance to hang out and socialize with other bike enthusiasts.
The 10-mile ride takes off at 10am and is ideal for newer cyclists and families with kids. The 30-mile ride departs at 8:30; and the 60-mile ride leaves at 8am, extending the 30-mile course. You can preview the routes on Bike Cleveland’s website to see where you’re going. And of course, you can pre-register there as well.
